Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Synopsis
Tells the story of the daily life of Koro-sensei, a grade 3-E teacher at Kunogigaoka Middle School, and his students. The students of 3-E have a mission to kill Koro-sensei who claims he will blow up the Earth. Koro-sensei is the main character of this series.
He is the homeroom teacher of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Middle School, as well as an octopus-shaped super creature that has destroyed a large part of the moon and made it crescent-shaped for good.
Although he has all kinds of terrifying superpowers, he is also very good as a teacher. he students of grade 3-E admit that they are the best teachers they have ever had.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Storyline
There is something wrong with the atmosphere of this anime. Earth will soon be destroyed! Everyone will die! But … the students in class 3-E are only worried about their test scores? Yes, they were still trying to kill Koro-sensei, but this felt like it was just a side objective.
It was as if no one had ever realized how serious the situation they were in. However, it seems that from the start this anime was intended to be more relaxed and focused more on the development of the students rather than the assassination attempt itself, so the real fault lies in the background story which was made too ‘heavy’.
If the backstory was a little lighter and more limited, for example, that Koros-sensei was threatening with something that only harmed world leaders and had absolutely nothing to do with the students of class 3-E, the atmosphere of this anime would instantly become much deeper sense.
Apart from the problem with the atmosphere, this anime does other things very well. A comedy centered on Koro-sensei’s extraordinary abilities and his eccentric behavior are always effective. Even though it was known that he could do almost anything, what kind of thing he would do with that ability that was so hard to predict was the reason why Koro-sensei was a never-ending source of jokes.
And, the way this anime writes its story is also praiseworthy. Even though it always has the same theme, this anime still manages to compile the details in it with many variations so that not a single chapter seems to be repeating itself. In other words, this anime does not merely present new characters or new assassination attempts but also build a complete framework around them so that each one becomes a different story.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Character
It is outrageous and even worrying when this anime brings up the idea that being a murderer is a good thing for students in Class 3-E. If it was meant only as some kind of physical training to forge their bodies, or some kind of mental guidance so that they could focus more by giving them a clear target, this idea would still be acceptable, but that they should also have killing intent? ….
Worse yet, the students were described as just normal boys and girls, and not people who were in special situations. Yes, they were placed in special situations but were not shown this way. They are just a bunch of teenagers growing up, and according to the anime, the best way for them to grow is to become assassins. ….
This may be just a personal opinion, but isn’t that idea very unwise? Once again, unfortunately, the problem of this anime again lies in the attitude of the students who seem too relaxed in dealing with their situation. Even though the initial mistake came from the background story the backstory exists, so all the characters who are not in line with it will automatically be wrong, including the professional assassins who hunt Koro-sensei only for their egos.
Doesn’t anyone care that the earth will soon be destroyed !? But luckily, Koro-sensei saved this anime. The characters are not very clear and the past is full of mystery, but as previously mentioned, it opens up as wide a space as possible for this anime comedy to develop freely.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Art
The animation manages to impress that Koro-sensei’s abilities, especially his speed are truly extraordinary, while his voice-acting instantly depicts his unique character. Remarkably, this does not cause this anime to forget the other characters.
Even though they don’t have anything unique to show like Koro-sensei, in reality, the visual quality in this anime from start to finish is always good.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Ost
When the anime is focusing on its comedy when the atmosphere is tense, the atmosphere becomes nervous, this indicates that each BGM of this anime also affects all the atmosphere we feel.
The input of music in this anime makes us enthusiastic about going to school because, in the opening, the flow of the music fits the school theme.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu Overall
Characters: 7.8 / 10
Art: 8.5 / 10
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (S1 + S2): 8.1 / 10
The atmosphere of the entire anime story is inappropriate, even contradictory, and this has persisted until the last episode. But on the other hand, Koro-sensei is a great source of comedy and coupled with the always good visuals, this anime still deserves your attention … as long as you are also careful about what lessons you will learn from this anime.
